    IIA Global gives UAE IAA the go ahead to conduct Quality Assurance

    The UAE Internal Auditors Association has been given the go ahead by the IIA Global to independently conduct the Quality Assurance assessments in the UAE. This has been the result of the past years intensive work by the association in conducting QA's with their team leader on several projects within the UAE and Oman. This has enabled the association to align its processes on lines of those adopted by Global whilst catering to specific regional requirements. The methodology adopted by UAE IAA is similar to that followed by the IIA Global. The dedicated staff at the association was a team member on several projects and now has the necessary experience and experience to manage and conduct QAs. Volunteers are welcome to register themselves with the association to be part of future QA assignments.

    UAE IAA certified to ISO 9001

    The UAE Internal Auditors Association has recently been certified to the ISO 9001:2008 standards by Lloyds Register, the company specialized in the assessment of organizations and certification in accordance with the ISO standards. Abdulqader Obaid Ali, President of UAE IAA said “This is a big achievement for the UAE IAA and demonstrates the commitment and leadership of the board and the management of the association. Our next step will be to upgrade to the ISO 9001:2015 .” The certification is just the beginning of the journey towards business excellence paving the way for continual improvement using innovative approaches. The policies and procedures documented are mainly to systematically and consistently enable the association achieve its goals and objectives.
